The word Al-Mashreq means the Levant, the point where the sun rises. It is a designation for the lands of the eastern Mediterranean, primarily Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Jordan, but often the entire Near East.

Al-Mashreq club concerns our single young people who are over 17 years old. We know quite well that our single young people don’t meet as much as they would like, and if they do, it is only in small groups. Thus, we feel that is important to organise some activities for them so that they can meet not only for dancing, but also for friendship, in order to create a much-needed senses of community between our young people in London.

Al-Mashreq activities includes a party every two months, a meeting once every month, and a trip to Taizé.
