Our Melkite church in the UK has its own Charity trust, which was incorporated in London on November 3, 1987 under the name of “Melkite Greek Catholic Association – UK”, and it was registered under Charity Number 298067
The current members of the Charity Trustees are:
Dr. Ramzi Sanbar, Mr. Bassam Aboukhater, and Mr. Maurice Jadaa.
Our treasurer, Mr. Joseph Watfa, deals on our behalf with the Inland Revenue and the Charity Commissioners, and she keeps our day-to-day accounts.
All cheques issued are co-signed by Mr. Joseph Watfa and the parish priest, Fr. Shafiq Abouzayd.
