We celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit on the disciples of Our Lord Jesus Christ in many languages, in order to commemorate the different tongues of the Day of the Pentecost (Acts 2: 4-12). Many Melkite parishioners are married to non-Arabs, and they participate with their partners in our Melkite activities. We benefit from this multi-cultural identity of our Melkite parish in London to allow every non-Arab parishioner to sing or read a liturgical text in his mother tongue during the mass. The countries of our Melkite parishioners in London are: Lebanon, Palestine-Israel, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Sudan, Iraq, Iran, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Lithuania, Ukraine, Croatia, Russia, Belarus, Poland, USA, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, China and India.
