St John Chrysostom Parish London

The Gathering of Our Lady was launched during 1999, and it aims to pray the rosary at home. People get together once a week to pray the rosary in front of the Byzantine icon of Our Lady, and then they end the prayer with a cup of tea or coffee. We go round our Melkite homes in Greater London, and it takes almost two years to finish our tour of all our parishioners who are committed to our parish.

This kind of religious activity is very popular in the Middle East, which intends to encourage Christians to dedicate their families to Our Heavenly Mother. We follow the same spiritual patterns in London, and it has become one of our most important spiritual activities. Father Shafiq is the promoter of this activity which started during 1995, and he is always leading this prayer at our Melkite homes.
